Not National Geographic but . . .

Susan Van Manen of Henrico County joined 23 other photographers on a National Geographic photography tour through the Yucatan Peninsula at the end of January. At Xcaret Eco Theme Park, about 35 miles south of Cancun, Mexico, she photographed a costumed Mayan performer. She said he asked where the group was from. When she told him it was a National Geographic tour, he asked, "Am I going to be in the magazine?" No, but Van Manen's photo titled "Xcaret Blue Man" is today's Your Best Shot.
