Finding your true self

"Finding and Honoring the Self," will be the topic of a seminar next Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Center for Personal and Relationship Enhancement, 13804 Hull Street Road, Suite 202.

Exploring dementia

The Alzheimer's Association Greater Richmond Chapter will hold a conference Saturday to discuss dementia among blacks from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Ebenezer Baptist Church, 216 W. Leigh St.

Essay contest

John Randolph Medical Center is sponsoring an essay contest for middle and high school students.

Students are invited to submit a 250to 500-word typed essay describing what the hospital's mission, "Our Family Taking Care of Yours," means to them. The deadline is May 23. A winner will be selected at the middle and high school levels and each will receive a $250 savings bond. Winners will be announced June 21.
