Lexi Palmer, a graduating senior at Caroline High School, has been selected for the cheerleading team at George Mason University.
She competed against many aspiring college cheerleaders, submitting a video that demonstrated her skills in tumbling, stunting, and cheer motions.
For the past three years, Lexi has cheered for her school's sideline teams, been a member of the competition team, and served as captain for the past two years.
In 2006, she helped take her cheer team to the Virginia State Competition with her ability as a flyer and her skills at jumping and tumbling. This past fall, she helped the team win the Battlefield District Championship for the first time.
As a Patriot cheerleader, Lexi will begin practice in June and attend the UCA Collegiate Camp in July at the University of Alabama. Her responsibilities will include cheering for basketball games and participating in pep rallies and other events mandated by the university.
Lexi is finishing high school with an Advanced Diploma in only three years. At George Mason, she plans to major in nursing and pursue a career in that field.
