Boaz & Ruth will hold its annual gala -- Diamond Debut: A Gala of Joy, Hope and Festivity -- on May 16 at Lingle Hall, Union Theological Seminary, 3406 Brook Road.

The event will feature a reception and silent auction at 6 p.m. and will be followed by dinner at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $75 per person.

All proceeds benefit Boaz & Ruth, a faith-based, nonprofit organization in Richmond's Highland Park that addresses the issues of prisoner recidivism through job training, community revitalization and innovative commercial enterprise. The centerpiece of Boaz & Ruth's mission is a used furniture store and training center at 3030 Meadowbridge Road.
