Colonel and Mrs. Robert E. Tobin, USMCR announce the engagement of their daughter, Miss Catherine Agnes Tobin, all of Chester, Va., to Matthew Dalton Mika, son of Drs. Katherine and David Mika, all of Keswick, Va.

The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Mr. Joseph Paglione of Dudley, Mass., and the late Mrs. Paglione, and the late Major and Mrs. Walter Tobin of Newton, Mass. The groom-to-be is the grandson of Col. and Mrs. John B. Phillips of Richmond, Va., the late Governor John N. Dalton, Mrs. Edward P. Henry Jr. of Hopewell, Va., and the late Bedrick Mika.

Miss Tobin attends the University of Virginia where she is a member of Gamma Phi Beta and the Student Council. She will attend law school in the fall. Mr. Mika also attends the University of Virginia where he is a member of the Laboratory of Atherogenesis and InterVarsity Christian Fellowship. He will be attending graduate school in the fall.

A January wedding is planned.
