Mr. and Mrs. David G. Lester Sr. of Midlothian are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Miss Rachel Anne Lester, to Bradford Robert Lowry, son of Ms. Denise Shore Lowry of Richmond and Mr. Guy Robert Lowry of Powhatan.

The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Mrs. Shirley W. Pulley of Richmond and the late Mr. Junius W. Pulley Jr. of Courtland, Virginia, and Mrs. Dorothy L. Lester of Midlothian and the late Mr. Harold D. Lester. The groom-to-be is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Richard F. Shore of Melbourne, Florida, and Mr. and Mrs. Robert A. Lowry of Richmond.

Rachel is a graduate of Midlothian High School and the University of Virginia. She is employed as a District Manager at ADP. Brad is a graduate of James River High School and attended Radford University. He is currently in the United States Army and is a member of the 208th Finance Battalion stationed in Mannheim, Germany.

A September 27, 2008 wedding is planned.
