Dr. and Mrs. Peter Choate Booher of Huntsville, Alabama, announce the engagement of their daughter, Elizabeth Booher, to Benjamin Kirk Summers, son of Ms. Vickie Brooks Summers of Stuarts Draft, Virginia, and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Jesse Summers of New Castle, Virginia.

Miss Booher is a graduate of Randolph School in Huntsville. She graduated magna cum laude from Vanderbilt University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics and Economics and a minor in Spanish. She is a member of Alpha Delti Pi sorority. Miss Booher is employed by New York Life Insurance Company as a Senior Market Management Consultant and recently transferred from the corporate headquarters in New York, New York, to the Huntsville office.

Mr. Summers is a graduate of Stuarts Draft High School and the Virginia Military Institute where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and earned his commission in the United States Army. He currently serves as a Captain in the Army National Guard and returned last year from a twelve-month deployment in Afghanistan. He is employed as an engineer by General Electric and recently relocated from GE Aircraft Engines in Boston, Massachusetts, to GE Fanuc in Huntsville to accept a Six Sigma Black Belt position.

The couple were engaged last August in Times Square, New York. The wedding will be June 7 in Lexington, Virginia.
