Homes in two of the area's most historically rich neighborhoods will be open for public tours tomorrow and next Saturday.
The Museum District's 14th annual Mother's Day House and Garden Tour takes place tomorrow from 1 to 6 p.m. The tour showcases nine homes with a wide range of architectural and décor styles.
The following homes will be open:
Tickets are $20 today at Ellwood Thompson, Mongrel, Cocoanut Jewelry in Short Pump and Willow Lawn, Strawberry Street Vineyards, Tweed and Williams and Sherrill. Tickets are $25 tomorrow at St. Benedict School, 3100 Grove Ave.
A shuttle bus provided by Benedictine High School will circulate among the tour sites. Free parking is available in the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts parking garage located on North Sheppard Street at Stuart Avenue.

Twelve private gardens and the newly refurbished Temple Memorial Garden of St. Thomas' Episcopal Church will be open next Saturday for the Ginter Park Residents' Association's annual garden tour.
The tour runs from noon to 5 p.m. Rain date is May 18.

Advance ticket sales are $8 at Azalea Garden Center, Designs by Ron, Once Upon A Vine, Sneed's Landscape and Garden Center, Embellish, Nicola Flora, Vogue Flowers and Flower Market. Tickets will be available tomorrow for $10 at Linwood Holton Elementary School, Hermitage Road and Laburnum Avenue, and St. Thomas' Episcopal Church, 3602 Hawthorne Ave.
Parking will be available at both ticket locations. Mini-bus transportation will be provided.
Members of Henrico County's Master Gardeners Program will serve as docents in many gardens to answer visitors' questions.

In Gloucester, garden enthusiasts can visit the Rosewell Foundation's Secret Gardens Tour today from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Rain date is Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Tickets are $15, including admission to four gardens in Gloucester and Mathews, as well as the Rosewell ruins. The Rosewell ruins are the remnants of one of the finest mansions built in the colonies on the banks of the York River in Gloucester County.
Proceeds from the tour will help to defray operating expenses of the Rosewell Foundation.
