Three Chesterfield natives graduate from UArts

The following students from Chesterfield County graduated from The University of the Arts (UArts) at the Philadelphia institution's 130th commencement May 21, 2008.

Chesterfield native Anna Hudgins graduated with a bachelor of fine arts in jazz dance. Hudgins is a 2004 graduate of Clover Hill High School.

Chesterfield native Ashley Kemp graduated with a bachelor of fine arts in jazz dance. Kemp is a 2004 graduate of Lloyd C Bird High School.

Midlothian native Sade Simmons graduated with a bachelor of fine arts in jazz dance. Simmons is a 2004 graduate of Appomattox County High School.

They are among nearly 500 undergraduates in The UArts Class of 2008.

The University of the Arts is the nation's first and only university dedicated to the visual, performing and communication arts. Its 2,300 students are enrolled in undergraduate and graduate programs on its campus in the heart of Philadelphia's Avenue of the Arts.
