Sometimes, it's so sticky and hot outside that even a Starbucks Frappuccino seems too heavy to ingest.

The company obviously has figured that out, with the recent introduction of its Vivanno smoothies.

The drinks only come in one size - grande - and cost in the $3.75 range (plus tax).

But its two flavors - Orange Mango Banana Blend and Banana Chocolate - are relatively healthy.

The orange-based one is made with a whole banana, natural Naked Juice, whey protein, fiber powder, 2 percent milk and ice and has 250 calories and 2 grams of fat.

The chocolate one also contains a banana, 2 percent milk, whey protein, fiber powder, ice and bittersweet cocoa. That one will take up 270 calories and 5 grams of fat in your daily allowance.

We tried the Orange Mango Banana earlier this week, and, while it's quite smooth and creamy, it's also a bit bland. That's how you know it's reasonably healthy.

Some groovy fun is going down at the Wawa on 12001 Southshore Pointe Drive and Hull Street Road today at 4 p.m. with the 1960s-inspired Hoagiefest.

Calling it the summer of "peace, savings and Shortis," Wawa will celebrate the hoagie with a walk-through exhibit of hoagie images, hoagie-building contests and the crowning of a Mr. & Mrs. Hoagie.

Obviously, food is also involved.

Wawa associates will serve a free, 94-foot-long hoagie to the crowd (the length is in connection with radio sponsor Q94).

A new Chinese restaurant, Jade, has opened on Lakeridge Parkway in the Northcross shopping center in Ashland.

Also new to that area is a 4,100-square-foot Arby's, at 10267 Washington Highway.

The restaurant has an outdoor patio that seats 24, and, along with the usual Arby's menu, also offers rotisserie chicken and turkey.

Operating hours are 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Sunday-Thursday and 11 a.m.-11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
