Adkins tickets to go on sale
Country star to perform at Innsbrook After Hours in July

Even though he came in second on "The Celebrity Apprentice," Trace Adkins has been elevated to a new level of fame thanks to exposure from the show.

His latest single, "You're Gonna Miss This," which he performed on the "Apprentice" finale at the end of March, is perched at No. 1 on Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart.

And plenty of curiosity seekers have sought out Adkins' molasses-heavy voice on other works from throughout his decade-long career.

Adkins will perform at Innsbrook After Hours' Snagajob.com Pavilion at 6 p.m. July 24. Tickets, on sale at 10 a.m. tomorrow, are $20 advance general admission, $40 gold circle general admission and $25 day of show general admission.

Tickets can be purchased at www.ticketstobuy.com, all Plan 9 locations, Richmond Music Center, Spinnaker's Restaurant and all Capital Ale House locations.

New to the calendar at The National:

  • Alt-country singer Ryan Bingham performs at 7 p.m. May 22. Tickets are $12.50 in advance and $15 day of show.

  • The masked metal motley crew of GWAR will spray its goo all over at 8 p.m. May 30. Tickets are $18 in advance and $22 day of show.

    Tickets to both shows are on sale at 10 a.m. today at all Ticketmaster locations, www.nattickets.com and The National's box office.

    The Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival -- starring Slipknot, Disturbed, Dragonforce, Mastodon, Five Finger Death Punch, 36 Crazy Fists and a bunch of other headbangers -- hits Nissan Pavilion in Manassas at 2 p.m. Aug. 17.

    Tickets are $25 for lawn, $39.50 to $49.50 for reserved and $49.50 for general admission pit. They go on sale at noon tomorrow.

    The tour also comes to the Virginia Beach Amphitheater at 2 p.m. Aug. 1.

    Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday. Prices are $33.75 for lawn, $49.70 for reserved and $60.70 for gold circle seating and the general admission dance floor.

    Also new to the Virginia Beach Amphitheater lineup is the Vans Warped Tour 2008. It stars Pennywise, The Academy Is . . . , Angels & Airwaves, Reel Big Fish, Relient K, Story Of The Year and about 30 other bands.

    The tour rolls in at 1 p.m. July 15. Tickets are $31.83 (all general admission) and go on sale at 10 a.m. tomorrow. Day of show price is $35.

    Also: The Journey/Heart/Cheap Trick show already announced for Virginia Beach (Aug. 12) is coming to Nissan at 7 p.m. Aug. 27.

    Tickets are $25 for lawn and $39.50 to $125 for reserved. They go on sale at 10 a.m. tomorrow.

    Neil Diamond's latest release, "Home Before Dark," arrives May 6. Diamond brings his subsequent tour to the Verizon Center in D.C. at 8 p.m. Aug. 5. Tickets are $55 to $120 and go on sale at 10 a.m. Monday.
