Ms. Bonnie Macys of Richmond, Va., is pleased to announce the engagement of her daughter, Sonja Lillian Macys, to Charles Ernst Willard of Hamilton, Ohio. Miss Macys is the daughter of the late Dr. Joseph R. Macys.

The bride-to-be graduated from Open High School. She received her B.A. in Anthropology from James Madison University and her M.S. in Natural Resource Management from Colorado State University. She is Executive Director of Yampatika, a non-profit organization focusing on environmental education.

The groom-to-be received his Architecture degree from the University of Cincinnati. He is a Construction Manager, coordinating commercial and residential projects in Steamboat Springs, Colo., where the couple reside. A June wedding is planned.
